My essay focus is going to be on the danger of power in The Lord of The Rings and also in The Gulag Archipelago. The power that the Bluecaps and the leaders like Stalin have is detrimental to society and the community they rule. The ring symbolizes power in the novel The Lord of the Rings. The ring is very dangerous in the story and shows a huge comparison to the Russians.
